1、 PE water supply pipe construction plan
① Avoid passing through expansion joints and settlement joints. If passing through, corresponding technical measures should be taken to prevent the pipeline from being damaged due to settlement or expansion of the building's internal materials.
② It should be avoided to arrange pipelines that may be affected by equipment vibration or heavy objects, so pipelines should not pass through the foundation of production equipment.
③ Pipelines should generally be buried underground or laid on the ground or exposed under floor slabs. If there are special requirements for construction or technology, they can be concealed in pipe troughs, pipe wells, pipe trenches, or suspended ceilings, but they should be easy to install and maintain.
④ Try to avoid crossing PE water supply pipes with other pipelines or equipment as much as possible. When the water supply pipe and the discharge pipe are arranged at the same place to enter and exit the building, in order to facilitate maintenance and avoid or reduce the phenomenon of soil moisture corrosion and pollution of the water supply pipe caused by leakage of the drainage pipe, the horizontal distance between the PE water supply pipe and the outer wall of the discharge pipe shall not be less than 1.0m.
2、 Construction steps
① Measure and set out, excavate mechanically or manually to a depth of 20cm from the base, mark it properly, and place the centerline and edge lines.
② Excavate the trench foundation construction, reserve about 20cm of protective side at the bottom of the trench, and manually clean the trench bottom to ensure that the undisturbed soil at the bottom of the PE water supply pipe trench is not disturbed. If stones are encountered, they should be removed from the site and replaced with soil with better soil for backfilling. When the excavation depth is greater than 2.5 meters, the width should not be less than 0.5 meters. When the soil is loose, it should be appropriately enlarged according to the soil quality.
③ Construction placement: Before construction, check the water supply pipe and valve fittings. Use a crane to lift the PE water supply pipe into the groove. During placement, avoid violent collisions with the groove wall and ensure that the placement position coincides with the measurement and laying out position.
④ 24 hours after the completion of the PE water supply pipe construction, a hydrostatic test should be conducted, and various acceptance records should be filled out in a timely manner. After all data is normal, backfilling should be carried out, and the soil in the trench should be compacted layer by layer.
Attention should be paid to backfilling and compaction: the backfill soil should not be less than 500 millimeters, and the PE water supply pipeline should be filled with soil when filled with water. When backfilling in trenches mixed with soil and stone, 200mm to 300mm of gravel free clay should be transported from elsewhere, compacted, and then filled with other miscellaneous soil.
3、 PE water supply pipe indoor water supply method
1. Direct water supply method
The system is simple, cost-effective, and can fully utilize the external water pressure. But once the external network loses water, the indoor water will be immediately cut off.
Applicable places: Water use places where the water volume and pressure can meet the water requirements within one day.
2. Water supply method for the water tank
Reliable water supply, simple system, low investment, and can fully utilize external network water pressure; The disadvantage is that it increases the load on the building and is prone to secondary pollution.
Applicable location: Used when the water supply pressure and volume are periodically insufficient.
3. Water supply method with storage tank, water tank and water pump
The water pump can supply water to the water tank in a timely manner, which can reduce the volume of the water tank. The water supply is reliable, the investment is large, and the installation and maintenance are relatively complex.
Applicable location: When the water pressure of the outdoor water supply network is lower than or often cannot meet the required water pressure of the internal water supply network of the building, and the indoor water supply is uneven.
4. Pneumatic water supply method
The water supply is reliable, without a high-level water tank, but the pump efficiency is low and consumes a lot of energy.
Applicable location: When the external water pressure cannot meet the required water pressure, the water usage is uneven, and it is not suitable to install a water tank.
5. Partition water supply method
It can fully utilize the pressure of the external network and ensure water supply safety, but the investment is large and maintenance is complex.
Applicable location: When the water supply pressure can only meet the water supply requirements of the lower level of the building.
4、 Advantages of pipe fittings
1. Multiple new construction methods: PE water supply pipes have multiple construction skills. In addition to using traditional excavation methods for construction, they can also use various new non excavation techniques such as pipe jacking, directional drilling, lining, and pipe cracking for construction.
2. Good stress cracking resistance: PE material has low notch sensitivity, high shear strength, excellent scratch resistance, and outstanding resistance to environmental stress cracking.
Good low-temperature impact resistance: PE material has a low low-temperature brittleness temperature and can be safely used in the temperature range of -60-60 ℃. During winter construction, this type of water supply pipe has good impact resistance and will not experience pipe cracking.
3. Convenient transportation: lighter than concrete pipes, galvanized pipes, and steel pipes, it is easy to transfer and install, with lower manpower and equipment requirements, which means a significant reduction in the installation cost of the project.
4. Good chemical corrosion resistance: PE water supply pipes can withstand corrosion from various chemical media, and the chemicals present in the soil will not have any degradation effect on the pipes. Polyethylene is an electrical insulator, so it does not exhibit signs of decay, rust, or electrochemical corrosion. In addition, it is not easy for algae, bacteria, or fungi to grow.
5. Durable and long-lasting: PE water supply pipes rich in 2-2.5% uniformly distributed carbon black can be stored or used outdoors for 50 years without being harmed by ultraviolet radiation.
6. Good wear resistance: Compared with the wear resistance of steel pipes, experiments have shown that the wear resistance of PE water supply pipes is four times that of steel pipes. In the field of mud transportation, it has very good wear resistance compared to steel pipes, which means it has a longer service life and very good economy.
7. Good flexibility: Flexibility makes it simple and winding, and in engineering, it can bypass obstacles by changing the direction of the pipeline. In many cases, the flexibility of the pipeline can reduce the amount of pipe fittings and lower the cost of installation.
5、 Application precautions
1. PE water supply pipelines shall not be arranged on materials, products, and equipment that may cause combustion, explosion, or damage when in contact with water.
2. The installation location shall not hinder production operations, transportation, or the use of buildings.
3. Pipelines shall not pass through flues or air ducts.
4. It is not allowed to hang it in food warehouses, valuable commodity warehouses, ventilation rooms, and power distribution rooms.
5. Waterproof measures should be taken when PE water supply pipelines pass through the exterior walls of basements or underground structures.
6. Efforts should be made to avoid crossing rooms with high hygiene and installation requirements, such as bedrooms and wards, and to avoid approaching interior walls adjacent to bedrooms.
7. It shall not be arranged above the main and auxiliary food operation rooms in the living room, canteen, and kitchen; It cannot be installed in food storage rooms, halls, libraries, or factories with special hygiene requirements.
8. When there is a requirement for anti condensation in buildings, anti condensation measures should be taken in places where there is a possibility of condensation on the outer wall of PE water supply pipes.
