The reasons for these defects are different, so the methods used for restoration are also different. What are the reasons for the defects and how can they be repaired?
1、 The surface of PE water supply pipe is rough
It may be caused by the temperature of the host machine head being too high or too low, for example, when the core mold temperature is too low or the body temperature is too low, it is easy to cause roughness on the inner surface, and when the cooling water temperature is too high, it will cause surface roughness. In this case, the cooling water temperature should be appropriately reduced while checking for blockages and insufficient water pressure in the waterway; And check the heating coil, raw material properties, etc.
2、 Groove marks appear on the surface of the water supply pipe
It is necessary to check and adjust the pressure balance of the water curtain of the sizing sleeve, adjust the angle of the spray nozzle to ensure even cooling of the pipe, and check whether there are any debris or burrs on the sizing sleeve, cutting machine, and other objects.
3、 If the defects in the PE water supply pipe continue to exist, it will obviously affect its normal use and service life. Therefore, it is still necessary to repair it. If the outer wall of the water supply pipe is damaged and shows broken walls or holes within 0.1m in length, a scraper should be used to completely remove the broken walls or holes, and the area within 0.05m around the removed part should be cleaned with cyclohexanone.
4、 Brush a plastic adhesive with good water resistance at the damaged location of the PE water supply pipe, and then remove an arc-shaped plate with twice the damaged area from the corresponding part of the same pipe. Apply adhesive to the inner wall and fasten it to the damaged area, then wrap and fix it with lead wire. If there are ribs on the outer wall, remove the ribs within 0.05m around the damaged area, scrape them flat without any rib marks, and then use the same method to remedy it, so that the water supply pipe can return to normal and play an important role in the water supply system.
