PE pipe is an indispensable pipeline product in our daily life. Before use,the pipe material needs to be tested.Only after passing the test can it be officially put into use.Next,we will briefly introduce these two testing methods for PE pipe.
1、Pressure test
When conducting pressure tests on pipes,it is necessary to fix the PE pipe in place. The flange connection should be exposed for easy inspection of leaks. The test pressure for pressure testing should not exceed 1.5 times the pressure rating of the pipe or the pressure rating of the accessories in the system that reduce the pressure rating. At the beginning, the pressure should be raised to the specified test pressure value and held for sufficient time to ensure that the pipe fully expands. After the system stabilizes, the pressure should be raised to 1.5 times the working pressure and stabilized for 1 hour.Carefully observe the pressure gauge and patrol along the line.
2、Water tightness test
PE pipes have superior water tightness performance compared to traditional pipes,so they need to undergo water tightness tests. However, the test pressure should not exceed 1.5 times the pressure rating of the pipe or the pressure rating of the accessories that reduce the pressure rating in the system. When the pipeline pressure reaches the test pressure, the temperature of the medium inside the pipeline should be kept the same as the temperature of the pipeline environment during this process.
Everyone knows that the quality of PE pipes is crucial,so it is important to pay more attention during these two experiments.
