What are the differences between PE gas pipes and PE water supply pipes

Although PE gas pipes and PE water supply pipes are both types of pipelines,upon closer inspection,there are still significant differences.Apart from what we intuitively know,one is for transporting gas and the other is for transporting water,there are also significant differences in other areas.
1.Firstly,from the appearance,the line on the PE water supply pipe is blue,while the line on the PE gas pipe is orange.
2.In terms of application,PE water supply pipes and PE gas pipes are both types of PE water supply pipes.PE,also known as polyethylene,is internationally classified into five grades:PE32,PE40,PE63,PE80,and PE100.The materials used for PE water supply pipes and PE gas pipes are mainly PE80 and PE100.
There is no grading system for specialized materials for polyethylene pipes in China,which makes it difficult for domestic manufacturers of polyethylene gas and water supply pipes to choose raw materials and poses significant risks to the use of polyethylene pipes.
Therefore,the National Bureau of Standards has made a lot of revisions in the new standard GB/T13663-2000,stipulating that different grades of PE80 and PE100 for water supply pipes correspond to different pressure strengths,and removing the tensile strength performance in the old standard,and increasing the elongation at break(greater than 350%),emphasizing basic toughness.
The domestic production situation of the reproducing industry mainly relies on PE100 raw materials.This is mainly due to the technological progress in recent years,and the price of PE100 raw materials has become similar to that of PE80.However,in terms of performance,PE100 is definitely superior to PE80 raw materials.In addition,the extrusion flow line equipment for PE water supply pipes and PE gas pipes continues to improve,and the produced polyethylene pipes have approached international standards.
Therefore,when we use it,we must not confuse it,because products with different purposes have different requirements for use.Such misuse not only tests the adaptability of the product itself,but also poses safety hazards that we cannot ignore.
